Problem with "choose a file to upload"

Hello everyone,
To sell on websites, I attach photos by clicking on "choose a file to upload" and I select my photos from my documents.
My big problem with Windows 8 (ggrrr!!!) is that the photo arrives sideways: it is upright in my documents but appears rotated left or right on the sites.
I've tried everything! I even took the time to mess around with each one using Microsoft Picture Manager and saved them.
The solution must certainly be very simple but I haven't found it...
Thanks for enlightening me, my new PC is driving me crazy!

Try to rotate them with another software. Picasa is free.
