USB recording, Toshiba television

Hello,

I recently acquired a Toshiba television (???) that has the functionality to record a program directly onto a USB stick. Apparently, it works because I can find the files corresponding to the recorded programs on the USB. However, the television tells me that this file format is not supported; the PC gives me the same response.
I would like to specify that other videos play without any problem on the television.

Do you know a solution to this problem?

Thank you in advance.

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 17.0

    Hello.

I have a Toshiba Regza, if the USB drive is not in FAT 32 format, nothing is detected, and not all video formats are executable, DVD and MPEG work but the rest don’t. However, my TV is already a few years old, so check the manual for accepted formats or on the Toshiba support site.

    Best regards.

Thank you for your response. I will check the format of my USB drive.

What surprises me is that all the files originally present on my USB drive are detected and read by the television, but the file recorded by the television itself is not supported for playback ...

I checked the supported formats and the formatting of the key, and everything matches. I can't understand why the television doesn't accept to read what it records...

Do you have any other ideas?

I have the same problem; it saves well on my USB stick but won't play it back (unsupported file). Have you found a solution? Thank you.
