In terms of adjustable amplification gain, a 18/35 dB adjustable potentiometer is preferable...

your amplifier with 2 inputs = bad choice, especially since it does not stop at 800 MHz (or channel 60), but since you own it, you will need to set VHF to zero (and without antenna..) and adjust the UHF amplification to the strict minimum, start at 10 and increase if necessary, but not too high to avoid saturation from a possible 4G carrier > 800 MHz...
