Hello everyone,
I am currently connecting the power cables to the motherboard, especially those powering the CPU, and there are 2x4 pins labeled: CPU1-P4 on the first 4 pins and: CPU2-P8 on the others. I would like to know what that corresponds to and if I should connect all 8 pins?
Thank you very much.

Hello

Often, it’s the big 24-26 pin thing that powers the RAM, the CPU, and the motherboard, and then 3-4 pins for the cooler <= if you don’t know, you don’t have to say just anything.

To power the CPU, there’s an additional 4 or 8 pin connector, depending on the motherboard. If the motherboard has a 4 pin, you connect CPU1-P4 only; if it’s an 8 pin on the motherboard, you need to connect both (CPU1-P4 + CPU2-P8) and then plug it in.

Before asking a question: 1° The brain doesn’t wear out if you use it, feel free to use it!
2° Google is your friend, the search engine of CCM too, do a search!
