Hello, I would like to know how to insert a "cross" and a "V" like for very good and not good in an OpenOffice Writer document

    The question isn't very clear... Insert into what?
    In "Writer", just place the cursor in the right spot and press the + key or the letter X or V

      You might want to use special characters (up or down arrows, or even the smiley face) ...In that case, use the drop-down menu:
      > Insert
      > Special characters
      > Select in the Subset at the top right "arrows" or "various symbols"
      and double click on the chosen symbol to insert it.
