Change the default path for saving Pdf documents

It didn't depend on the PDF conversion software? Between PDFCreator and Acrobat Distiller, the settings are different...

No, this is simply a case of using Acrobat Reader just for saving regular Pdf documents. When using "Save As" or "Ctrl+Shift+S," the save dialog always points to the same path (C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp) when the opened Pdf document has just been loaded.

How can I change this default path? This would save considerable time when it comes to saving a series of numerous Pdf documents.

From Acrobat, I can't see....

By default, the save location is the same as the source where the PDF opened by Acrobat is located.

So you need to change the source's save location so that the save occurs in the same place. For example, if you open a PDF in a browser, a temporary file is created at a location in the system. For now, it's not a definitive PDF file; if you leave the page, the system will delete it at some point.

I suppose you are looking for PDFs opened in a browser? ... With Firefox, it's possible to choose the target.

So I've been turning the problem around in every way: when you open a Pdf document via Firefox, it offers you two possible choices through its opening function:
- the first: either to open the document with a program to choose from a drop-down menu (here logically Adobe Reader by default),
- the second: either to save the file: it's only this function that seems to be dealt with in the "General" tab of Firefox's options, and that's not what I'm actually interested in here.

To better locate the issue, my problem concerns only the first choice, when you open this Pdf document with Adobe Reader through the option offered by Firefox. It is indeed a window of the Adobe Reader program that opens distinctly from the Firefox browser. And it's there that once opened, when you try to save the document, this program systematically suggests the same save path, which is quite annoying in the case of a large number of Pdf files to save.

How can I change this path, please?

If you download with a single click, it will be a temporary document in this directory that will be created.
By right-clicking you can 'Save target as...' but the same applies, you will have to choose the directory, and additionally go open the document.
So the easiest way on Windows 7: 'Save as...', go until you display your destination directory, select it and in the dialog box, menu 'tools / add to my environment'.
Afterwards, this directory will be directly accessible in the left area.

Where can I find the tools menu with "add to my environment"?
