Hello,
I have a Brother DCP 7070 DW printer and I can't connect it to my laptop via Wi-Fi. It works perfectly fine with USB, but as soon as I remove the USB as indicated after installing everything, it doesn't recognize my laptop over Wi-Fi. Is it a port issue or something else? Does anyone have a solution? Thank you in advance for your responses.

Hi
You need to configure your phone's Wi-Fi card in ad-hoc mode, but you would lose internet access
You need to connect the printer via Wi-Fi to your router and then install the printer on your laptop as a local printer by creating a local TCP/IP port to which you will assign the IP address of your printer. -
Hi
You need to connect it to your box via Wi-Fi, not to your PC
Then, install it on your PC as a local printer by creating a standard TCP/IP port, which you will configure with the printer's IP address-

Do you not have a user manual and utility (CD) that allows you to connect your printer to a router?
For example, on page 22 of this manual, it explains how to configure the connection manually from the printer's control panel menus. -
