Maybe you should first completely uninstall Chrome.

Using revo uninstaller for example ;)

** Download and install revo uninstaller: https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/19405-revo-uninstaller/#top

** Then launch it.

** Locate Google Chrome and double-click on it.
** Select advanced scan mode.
** The uninstallation process for Google Chrome will start: uninstall it.

** At the end of the uninstallation, go back to revo uninstaller.
** Click on "scan" and wait.

** If it finds any registry items, click on select all and then delete.
** If it finds any folders/files, click on select all and then delete.

** And finally, download Google Chrome and reinstall it: http://www.google.fr/intl/fr/chrome/browser/

Let me know if that works.
