Hello, I tried to put a video on my USB stick to watch it on my TV but it doesn't work, it says Invalid or unsupported file. The video is in .avi format, I've already watched .avi videos on the TV, so I don't understand why it doesn't work.

Thank you in advance.

    Hello
an AVI is a container, that is to say an envelope.
Inside this AVI, there is a video codec and an audio codec (to keep it simple)

your TV may not support the codec of your AVI.
to know the structure of your video, use mediainfo (download it from this site in portable version)

compare the codec of an AVI that works and the one that doesn't.
then re-encode your video with the same codec using format factory, Freemake
video converter for example (be careful, Freemake is adware so uncheck the installation of the toolbar)

    bye

Hi, I found the problem. You're right, the codec was wrong. I used Format Factory to convert it, set a Divx format, and I converted it to MPEG4 because my TV doesn't read Divx formats.
      Thank you for your help.
