Good evening MATITINOU
Does this message appear when downloading the Firmware update (4.41) for the console?

A little help goes a long way-

Alright, try downloading the update here:
https://www.playstation.com/fr-fr/support/
Then install it on a USB stick.
At the root of the USB stick, create a folder named PS3, then inside this folder (PS3), create a new folder named UPDATE, now put the firmware in the Update folder.

Hi,
There’s a procedure to follow that should work (in theory):
But for that, you need:
- a USB stick with a good copy of the firmware you’re trying to update
- a second hard drive
1. Let the PS3 finish the faulty installation, and turn it off with the switch on the back.
2. Remove your hard drive and insert the second one + the USB stick with the updated firmware, and turn your back to the PS3.
3. Let the PS3 format the replacement disk and install the updated firmware. Progress to the language selection screen, then turn it off again using the switch.
4. Put your original hard drive back, but leave the USB stick in. Power it on. The PS3 will say it cannot start because the firmware on the hard drive is corrupted, then it will prompt you to reinstall it. Press Start + Select to allow it to reinstall.
5. Once that’s done, you need to reboot your console again using the back switch.
Normally, this has worked for many people, but it requires a hard drive.
If you have what you need, give it a try and keep me posted.
