How to measure a contour?

Hello, I would like to know how to measure a contour in InDesign (or in Illustrator if it's not possible in ID). I have drawn contours with the Pen tool, they are of various shapes and sizes, with angles, straight lines, and curves; some are open, others are closed. Is there a way to measure each contour at once as if the line were a long straight line? Thank you in advance.

    It's simple,
    in Illustrator you need to go to Window, Document Info, and in the options of this palette, you need to check Objects.
    And there you go, you have all the information about your path.
