Faded color issue

Hello,

I am using the Adobe CS3 suite and I have recently encountered a color issue when exporting to PDF.
First of all, I want to clarify:
- my suite is synchronized in Bridge (color settings: general use for Europe 2)
- my document is intended for print
- the transparency flattening space in InDesign is set to CMYK.

Now, here’s my problem:
When exporting to PDF, the colors become duller: the orange loses its intensity and the black turns gray, to name a few examples.
I use optimal quality settings. I have tried changing the profiles to CROATED, Euroscale, including or not including profiles, changing the standard... nothing works!
Except when I export with minimal quality :/
Moreover, it seems that only the colors "created" within the software change. The files that were imported (native to Photoshop) seem to retain their intensity in the PDF...

Thank you to anyone who can help!

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 17.0

    Hello,

Just a little info for you, when you export in PDF minimum quality, the profile is automatically set to RGB, which makes the colors more vibrant (RGB = subtractive color space).
