[Driver] 802.11 b/g usb WLAN Solved/Closed

Question

Hello.
I’ve been going in circles for 2 days trying to find the 802.11 b/g USB WLAN driver for my laptop... which obviously shows up as ? in the device manager when I want to install my Inventel live box via WIFI (it works over RJ 45) and when I plug the dongle into the USB, it asks me for the path to this driver... As a result, the dongle is not detected by the LB...
Even on the Compaq website it is not available...
Do you have a tip or a magic link please?!Configuration: Windows XP SP2

I had the same problem, here is the result of my research and it works:

You download the driver + utility, then you install and configure it just like your existing networks.
For me, I searched for SAGEM WLAN USB and then I chose the model XG-760A.

so like you all, I have the same problem, except that Frédéric's trick (which seemed good) doesn’t work
I did what was written, but the installation doesn’t recognize the key (at one point they ask to insert the key and then the installation assistant starts, and it doesn’t find the right stuff, and if I quit the key is clearly not installed)

I just completed the installation of the SAGEM 802.11b/g WLAN key model: XG-760N (the one provided with the livebox).

I'm just adding this message for those who have the same issue with the Wifi kit of the Darty Box.

If the drivers for the Wifi key do not install with the Darty CD, go find them on the Sagem website in the support section, and install the utility + drivers for the model XG-760N.

Another tip (maybe silly for some but I would have liked someone to tell me!), turn off all firewalls or antivirus during the Wifi kit configuration, for example, Zone Alarm blocks the installation without issuing any messages and you end up with "Limited connectivity"... not very nice or pleasant.

Uninstall the Sagem utility once everything is working in "Wireless Network Connection" under Windows XP, making sure not to uninstall the drivers when a window appears asking you to do so.

I want to install the WLAN XG-760A on my second PC which runs on VISTA. I've looked everywhere but to no avail. Does anyone know where I can find the driver for Windows Vista? On the SAGEM website, it says it will be ready for 2007...hmmm, and we're just a few days away from 2008. Thanks.

No idea, I thought the drivers also worked with Vista. Did you still try to install the drivers and the utility found on Sagem's website? Otherwise, I know that the drivers are included but not extractable on the installation CD of your Wi-Fi kit if you are using a set-top box like Darty Box for example; it would be better to consider a second installation with this CD, right?

To solve your problem, it's very simple. In the Google search bar, type: drivers sagem XG-760N version 6.3.0.0 WHQL and then press enter. You will arrive at TLD (all drivers.com) directly on the file to download. Once downloaded, unzip it, click on setup and follow the instructions. WARNING, ONLY PLUG IN THE WIFI KEY WHEN THE SETUP MESSAGE TELLS YOU TO.
