Fan is running at full speed and beeps.

Hello,

As stated in the description, the fan runs at full speed and beeps about every 5 seconds.

Let me explain: my PC was overheating a lot when I played, to the point that I had to put an external fan to cool it down. I therefore took the ill-advised initiative to try to dust it out. And once reassembled, when I tried to start it, there was no response. I even asked an IT technician who told me that my PC was dead!

So I tried to get it to work again just now, I removed the battery and put it back, and now I have this fan/beep problem, but nothing works...

    Check that your RAM sticks, CPU, and cables are properly plugged in..

    I checked several times and nothing changed.. But I will still recheck the sticks/modules for the RAM!

    The CPU cooler is properly plugged in, otherwise the CPU beeps BEEP BEEP BEEP..
    I just unplugged it on an old PC and it did almost exactly as you explained..

    However yes, everything is properly plugged in, and with or without the RAM sticks, it still does the same thing.

    But no, we need to find the problem, how old is the PC date from??
    Because I think it's the CPU!

    It dates from... He’s 15 years old, the thing, you know lol. But it had been upgraded by a friend about 3 years ago, I’m not sure at all what changed on it.

    Whether it's the motherboard, or the CPU that's dead or if it's not that, it's the RAM but I don't think so...

    I have my laptop, I don’t know if it could be useful in all this?
    It could have, yes, but it doesn’t live quite nearby and so far he hasn’t found the time to come check it out.
