Hello,
I regularly use Photoshop for my work, I am an artist and need to have very good photos of my drawings. The background being often gray, I am used to using the function that whitens the background with a small circle (I don't know the name of this application). But, for some time now, a window has appeared telling me "Option-click to define a source point to use for healing the image" and everything is blocked!
I have vaguely seen answers on your forum but with my Mac keyboard and my lack of knowledge of key abbreviations, I can't manage it!
Thank you for your help!
Configuration: Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8) / Safari 5.1.7

Hello,
You are probably referring to the tool in Photoshop, not the application..
The tool in question is likely the Healing Brush tool.
This tool is based on a source point that works for you. Therefore, you need to indicate this source by clicking on a specific location while holding down the alt key.
That said, I don't know the work you do, so I can't say too much, but I'm not sure you're using the right method to lighten a gray background...
Best regards
