Hello,
I have an old Packard Bell computer model Axcel from 1994.
I have a "CMOS battery failed" message, I dismantled the whole computer to find a battery on the motherboard that could be in the form of a button cell, but I found nothing. I wonder if it could be a capacitor.
Does anyone have any ideas about this issue?
For now, I can still start it by pressing the escape key.
Thanks in advance.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 24.0.1312.57

Hello,

The CMOS battery is always a flat lithium battery. It has to be somewhere on the motherboard.
It can't be a capacitor. Capacitors don't have that function.
