Solved

Hello,

I’ve been having the same problem since yesterday afternoon: it’s my page www.google.fr / .com (and only that one) that isn’t working anymore and it returns this error message:

and I’m on Chrome.

413. that's an error.
your client issued a request that was too large. That's all we know.

Has anyone managed to solve this?

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 24.0.1312.49

So just for your information, this solution was only temporary for me
indeed, even though it worked, it always ended up coming back
ultimately it seems that my problem was related to one of the extensions I had added to Google Chrome (several ad blockers) and one of them must have triggered this problem...
so cleaning is necessary, however if the problem returns, try removing some extensions...

How did you manage to do this cleaning? I have the same problem and I'm starting to get fed up with clearing the cache every day, any help from you would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

Thank you! That's what I just did, I hope it will work, I'm tired of doing it every 5 minutes!

I had tried uninstalling / reinstalling Chrome, but it didn't help, it's probably the extension!

Can you explain how you managed to clean it? Because I have to clear the cache every day, sometimes several times a day, and it's becoming exhausting... I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome, but it doesn't change anything... I'm going crazy!

    Thank you, it worked!

For your information, I also had to check "remove cookies and other site and plugin data" for it to work.

      Hello,

I had the same problem as you (for much longer!) and I simply removed all my extensions, did a clean with CCleaner, then reopened Google Chrome. For now, it's working. No more error 413, no more repeated disconnections from Gmail.

What do you mean by 'extensions' to remove? I have the same problem and of course plan to follow the same repair process.

Extensions are the types of plugins that you add to Chrome.
Go to customize (the button in the top right) / settings / extensions and remove them all, then add them back one by one to find the one(s) causing the issue.

Well, I've been trying for a month and nothing works. I’ve deleted all the extensions, done 3200 cleanings with CCleaner, uninstalled and reinstalled Google, but it still doesn't work.
So if someone could give me the solution, it would help me a lot.

Nothing of that worked for me (clearing history, caches, cookies, uninstalling addblocks). It's really starting to get annoying. I think I'm going to switch back to Firefox.

    Hello,
    I’m joining the discussion group...
I have the same issue as you with Chrome (Version 26.0.1410.64 m)...
I have uninstalled all extensions, run CCleaner, Malwarebytes just in case..., cleared the cache, cookies, and application data...
It works... but it keeps coming back... (usually after a long period of inactivity on the machine)
Complete uninstallation doesn’t do anything special... it always comes back...

I switched to Chrome after having issues with Opera and my Antivirus but I find it's worse with Chrome...

I fear I may have to do a complete format of the machine to get my emails back to normal...

I find it unfortunate to see so many people in trouble and the developer's lack of response (not a minor one anyway) on the subject...

I had been very disappointed with Chrome a couple of years ago in its early versions... (it didn't handle sessions well (carts in shops))
I notice that the maturity is still not there at version 26... wow...

That leaves Firefox (too slow for my taste) or Safari (too restricted for my taste)
    boo.....

    Hi,

I had the same problem for at least 2 months, I found an answer that helped me: uninstalling the "Boxore" program from my computer. Since then, Gmail no longer disconnects and I no longer get the error message.

I hope this can help you.
