Hello, I am looking for software or a way to display on the screen, at the startup of the PC, the celebration or birthday of a person whose date (day, month) and name have been previously entered on the computer. This window will obviously appear on the intended day for the celebration or birthday of the concerned person.
Thank you

    Hi,
you need to create a batch file that opens the photo
and it needs to be scheduled in the task scheduler...
    but it's totally possible

Hello lionhell454, and thank you for responding to my email. However, I am not satisfied with this response as it does not help me move forward... not being a computer scientist...
How do I create this file... In fact, what is the complete process to have this message appear at the beginning of the PC startup?
Can you tell me exactly how to proceed?
    Thank you for your response

I will help you, it's not complicated, but you need to have the task scheduler activated to be able to schedule the task...
      Is it under XP? Seven?
I'll explain how to create it to you in a bit...
      See you soon

We are going to create a .bat file and use the start command but

      I need a clarification:

Do you have the image with "Happy Birthday," and if so, please give me the full path, you can find it in the address bar.
Otherwise, I could create an image or an HTML page that says "Happy Birthday."
It would be good if you could find an image, for example... otherwise, I can make it for you.

      read this if seven:
      http://www.clubic.com/windows-os/windows-7/aide-astuce-tuto/comment-planifier-une-tache-sous-windows-7-13136.html
and we can even do it without the .bat if you have an image or a file containing "Happy birthday....."

look carefully on the net for scheduling a task if you can't do it, we'll help you...

Hello lionhell454 and thank you for taking some time for my request...
First of all, I would like something simple that reminds me on screen that today is either a celebration or the birthday of one of my children or grandchildren, a message in a window indicating, for example, "Tuesday, February 21, 2013 - Didier's Celebration" or "Tuesday, February 23, 2013 - Michèle's Birthday"
I think the task scheduler is running.
I have a laptop with XP and another one with Windows 7.
Thanks again lionhell454 and have a great day.

      Good evening,
I’m sorry, I got lost in the posts...

For the text, you can do it with a .txt or in an HTML page.

At first, just try with a .txt
You need to create a birthday.txt for example and write the text and the dates inside.
Then you need to go to the scheduler to create the task.
So under seven, start --> search --> type:
      Task Scheduler
Create a simple task and fill in the different fields when you get to choose a program, select this and target the file birthday.txt
And it will open at the precise date.

If you encounter any problems, don't hesitate.
