Hello,
I often have margin problems when printing documents from Word.
I set up a correct layout with standard margins, yet as soon as I want to print my document, I get a message saying "the margins for section 1 are set outside the printable area of the page." I haven't changed anything regarding the margin settings, and I started from a blank Word document. For example, I have to raise my footer from 5 to 6 cm from the bottom of the sheet for it to be visible... (not very practical for putting the page number...)
The same goes for the right side of the sheet.
I have tried adjusting the margins before printing (narrow margin settings or custom margin settings, but nothing changes...)
I would therefore appreciate any advice that could help me stop getting frustrated over this issue.
Thank you in advance,
Best regards,
Charles

Hello,
Yes, I checked that, but nothing works.
After discussing with a colleague today, he explained to me that the problem is more likely with my printer because even with a PDF document, the bottom of the page is not printed.
It's true that when I preview a PDF document before printing, I see gray margins that certainly define the printing area of my printer. This area is different from the margins of my document (Word or PDF). Inside the frame delimiting my page in the print preview, I see this gray area (not printed).
Now, I am focusing more on how to modify the printing area of my printer?
If someone could explain how to attach a photo to this forum, I could illustrate my problem!
Please note that it’s an HP B110 series. I also noticed that when I choose another printer (e.g., XPS), this problem disappears and my footer is visible!
Thank you for your response.

Best regards,
okay, so the problem really comes from your printer. When you go to print, are all the settings correct, the settings that appear in the interface when you press print? Because this problem must come from a setting that has been changed by mistake.
