Pilote wifi xp inspiron dell 6400

Solved

Hello,
As a owner of a Dell Inspiron 6400/E1505, I removed Vista to install XP Pro. I have reinstalled all the drivers, but I'm missing one, the Wi-Fi one (I suppose it's this one: in the device manager, the one titled "network controller"). I can't find it. Any solution?
Thank you in advance.

Good evening, the Dell 6400 drivers, including the network controller, can be found on the following page:

    http://support.euro.dell.com/support/downloads/devices.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=gen&SystemID=INSPIRONI6400/E1505&os=WW1&osl=FR

network under the "network" section. In this section, the first one corresponds to the Ethernet port and the others are for Wi-Fi (WLAN) and Bluetooth. You need to know the exact model pre-installed on your PC. Try to install "Everest" to find this information

      Thank you very much!
Actually, I found the solution on all drivers. I still need to resolve the conflict between Windows' management of wireless and the installed software: the two have gone haywire!

Hello Emmari, I find myself in the same situation as you, with the difference that it's not the Wi-Fi controller driver that is causing me issues.

Indeed, I have three elements in the Device Manager
      named base system devices.
Do you have the driver number? Rxxxxxx and/or the name?

Another thing, I only found the GMA945 graphics driver and not the GMA950.

      Kind regards.

I found the solution to my device problem; it was related to the drivers of the integrated RicoH card reader available on the Dell website :)

      Best regards

The same causes produce the same effects; I also had to reinstall XP after Vista. I used the drivers from Dell support, and everything works well except for Bluetooth. When I try to install the driver, it asks me to turn on Bluetooth, but the Bluetooth button on my laptop no longer works. Basically, to install Bluetooth, it needs to be working already... Help!

PS: I have an Inspiron E1505.

    Hello everyone...
Here is my problem, I had to format my laptop (Dell Inspiron 6400)... I installed the drivers but the one for the sound card doesn't work and "it says that the computer doesn't support the program or something like that...) I wanted to ask you if you know which website I could find the correct driver ^^
    Thanks in advance.

Good evening, according to the Dell page, there are 2 versions of drivers for sound. If you don't know your version, try one after the other (Creative or Sigmatel)

    Good evening,

I bought a DELL Inspiron 6400 laptop, everything was fine until I made a mistake (by accidentally inserting a pirated version of XP CD and I stopped the installation just in time), but now in the device manager, the driver for the Intel 945 GM graphics card is no longer installed (there's an exclamation mark on it)

I found the driver on touslesdrivers.com, but my DELL is preventing it from running on my PC

What should I do, please help me

      Good evening,

I have the same problem but with a Dell 1525. I have the drivers provided by the manufacturer, but they don't work on XP because I just uninstalled Vista. Are there the same drivers available for XP? Or am I forced to go back to Vista to get my hardware working?

    Hello,

I come to ask for your precious help because I have a big problem. I bought a used DELL INSPIRON 6400/E1505 computer.

    The computer was running Windows XP Media Edition. I installed Windows XP Pro but I am experiencing several problems;

    - I have no idea what drivers are necessary to make my machine work.
    - The computer has no sound, the image is much less beautiful than the first time I turned on the machine when it was running with the previous user's Windows, for example.

When I go to the Dell website, I see a large quantity of drivers for this computer but I absolutely don't see which ones I need to install.......

Would it be possible to have a list of the ones I need to install? Thank you in advance

    Best regards

Good evening, apparently there are several versions of this model with different peripherals. It may be necessary to search using the serial number to obtain a customized list.

      Good evening,

I found quite a few drivers, but I'm missing those for the 5-1 card, the PCMCIA card port, and the Ethernet socket.

For the sound, I see only one driver:
      http://support.euro.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/downloads/en/downloads_splash?c=fr&l=fr&s=gen&~mode=popup&file=169315

For the ethernet, there is only one:
      http://support.euro.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/downloads/en/downloads_splash?c=fr&l=fr&s=gen&~mode=popup&file=198980

For the pcmcia, there are several (you should first test these 2):
      1)
      http://support.euro.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/downloads/en/downloads_splash?c=fr&l=fr&s=gen&~mode=popup&file=202136

    Good evening,

I also have an Inspiron 6400/E1505 and I'm having a problem with my ATI Mobility X1400. Indeed, I can't play any games without the PC lagging strangely as this graphics card isn't that bad... Moreover, I can't find a driver and a Catalyst that works; I can't launch Catalyst once it's installed (I get an error message).
Thank you for letting me know what to do.

    Hi,
I have a problem with my mother's computer, it's an Inspiron 6400 (Vista) but the computer is a desktop so it's impossible to find the Fn key to activate the Wi-Fi.
The antenna is properly connected at the back but the light is still off. Can't get the live box to work because the computer can't find any network. (which is normal, by the way)
If someone could provide me with a more or less detailed description of the steps to take because I'm not really familiar with Vista, I'm used to XP.
    Thanks

    Hi

I have a problem with my Dell Latitude D600 laptop. After the sudden shutdown of the machine, I lost my hard drive which contained the drivers. I bought another hard drive and reinstalled XP Pro, but the drivers are not installed. Please help me.
