Hello,
I recently acquired a 107cm LED TV from LG, here is the reference:
https://www.lg.com/fr/televiseurs/lg-42LS3400-tv-lcd-led
On top of that, I own a Logitech 5.1 system, here is the reference:
https://support.logi.com/hc/en-001?mID=7191
My TV doesn't have any audio outputs, so I researched online to find the best solution to get sound to my speakers. In short, I need to go through a SCART out, followed by a male RCA to female Jack.
I received the SCART out today and have connected everything properly, however, I can't seem to switch the sound to the SCART.
Can someone tell me that I didn't make these purchases for nothing?
Do I have another solution if this doesn't work?
Thanks in advance for your responses.
Configuration: Mac OS X Mountain Lion (10.8) / Firefox 18.0

Ok, have you turned on the little switch on "OUTPUT"?
Normally, on your TV remote, there is a button "MUTE", press it, the sound from the TV speakers will be muted, and the sound, as HOMBOURGEOIS said, will output by default from the SCART.
No problems, only...solutions!!! :-)
IF YOU BELIEVE THAT YOUR ISSUE IS RESOLVED, PLEASE MARK IT AS SUCH, THANK YOU. -

Bought too quickly, as usual and without looking at the connections and features, for €45 more and the same screen size, you had this: --> https://www.lcd-compare.com/televiseur-PHI42PFL4007H-PHILIPS-42PFL4007H.htm, and look at the connection part, not to mention the features, and there you had 2 audio outputs.
So, is this really the back of the Logitech subwoofer: --> http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/09/9-9-10-logitechz506-60009.jpg? Did you connect the RCA cables to the RCA INPUT STEREO?

Here is a custom wiring diagram for all devices, with 2 options for sound, and I think the second option will work:
--> http://hpics.li/fa1db1e
And here is the Scart with Female 3.5 Stereo Jack: http://www.cisic.fr/CISIC/media/aidestechniques/peritel-male-jack-fem.jpg
And the Male RCA to Male 3.5 Stereo Jack cable: http://www.locasono.fr/450-777-thickbox/mini-jack-vers-rca-25m.jpg
If it doesn't work with the second sound alternative, unfortunately I won't have any others to suggest.
Best regards, STARGATE43.
