Hello,
I have an old camcorder model with an 8mm cassette, and a cassette has been stuck in the device for a long time, and I would like to be able to retrieve it.
The eject flap raises about an inch and remains stuck. Do you think it is possible to help me?
If so, another question, I would like to record the content on DVD; what process should I use?
Thank you to all those who will look into my problem
Best regards

    Hello
reminder to power your camcorder with electricity either via battery or mains

    Video transfer box
Hello, to transfer content from an analog cassette VHS, VHS/C, 8mm, Hi8 or an analog video stream, you need to connect the camcorder or VCR or other devices to an "external box" that handles the "hardware" conversion of the "analog stream" into "digital", and connect the box to the computer via a USB cable. The file is converted to mpeg2, an easy-to-burn format compatible with all players and allowing for editing with "Studio"
Connect the box and camcorder or VCR with an S-VHS recommended connection or composite (less good) (RCA yellow) and a cord for sound (2 RCA red, white). For the VCR, a SCART connection is needed with an adapter or cord with the "out" direction or with an inverter in out output S-VHS or composite RCA yellow (less good) plus sound, two RCA outputs red white
Remember to select PAL for color
I recommend the Dazzle box, either "Recorder" DVD only or Video HD, Creator, or Platinum depending on your needs if you want to "arrange" your films with titles and music
The price of the advanced editing software STUDIO 14 HD (value alone 61 €) provided with this box in "Creator" and "Platinum" version makes the product interesting
It can be easily resold on the web when you no longer need it
There are exotic products like USB keys and 4 wires, cheaper but beware, they often lead to troubles, as seen in messages from desperate members on the forum

The format being 4/3, the quality of the image can only be judged on the living room TV screen. The link:

Remember to mark "resolved" if that is the case.

I would first like to open the camcorder case to retrieve the tape; it is stuck and I can't do anything—neither take it out nor film with the rest of the reel.
    Thank you.
