Hello,
I have a fairly old desktop computer whose screen just gave out on me. Having an extra television, I used it as a replacement screen. However, I have a display problem with the entire content on my screen: for example, I can't see my entire desktop at once; I have to move the mouse back and forth to the top left corner, then to the top right corner, etc., without ever being able to see everything at once. At first, I thought it was the television's fault, but switching to 16:9 or 4:3 doesn't change anything...
It would be really great if someone could help me solve this issue; I'm starting to get a headache with all the movements of my desktop... :)
Thank you!
Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0

The problem comes from the fact that the resolution on your PC is higher than your TV. A CRT TV should have a resolution (in composite) of 800x600. Your PC is configured on a virtual desktop of 1024*768 or higher. Your TV is therefore like a "magnifying glass" that you would move around on your desktop...
Everything will be back to normal if you lower the resolution of your desktop on your PC... try starting with 800*600.

Hi,
Your problem comes from the fact that your monitor (computer) is set to a certain resolution and your TV is set to another one.
Since I don't know what graphics card you're using, I'll guess (lol) that you have an nVidia-based card.
Also, you don't mention which OS you're using. I'm guessing (again) that you have XP.
So, you need to manage the secondary screen (your TV) by right-clicking on your computer's desktop (it's not working? OK, on the TV). Then "Properties", tab "Settings", button "Advanced", tab "your video card's name".
Or... check in the control panel if you have nVidia management.
From there, either you start the control panel, or it is already activated.
Then, you manage the monitor settings (primary and secondary), especially the resolution.
I can't tell you more without knowing what you see on your screen when configuring...
P.S.: don't confuse "clone" mode and "extend" mode (I think). The former duplicates the display of the first monitor on the other. The latter displays "extended" as a single display but "larger" on two screens.
I hope this helps you.

I don't like you, you replied faster than I was typing my post...
Actually, I'm on another forum at the same time.
I'll get it one day, I'll get it... :)
