Connection issue with subsonic controller for ps3

Hello,

I was given a second-hand PS3 for Christmas, which came with 2 controllers. One is a Sony controller that works perfectly, and the other is a Subsonic controller that I can't seem to connect.
Whether I use the USB cable or not, when I press the PS button, the 4 lights flash slowly, and when I press the PS button again, the 4 lights start flashing quickly. The controller doesn't work and it doesn't seem to be connected. After a while, the 4 lights turn off, but nothing works in any case. I've been looking for solutions since Christmas day to no avail. Hoping that someone has a solution to my problem, thank you in advance.

    Hi,
    did you receive the controller like this or with its box?
    I bought another controller (which is not made by PlayStation) and it requires a special USB key (included) that needs to be plugged into the PS3 to connect it.
