How to cancel the update on nintendo DS?

Hello, I have a white Nintendo DS Lite from 2007. One day, I pressed "update," and since then, when I try to play the games on my "R4" card, it says "...press and hold the power button to turn it back on." Please, if you can, tell me how to cancel the update and regain access to my "R4" games.

    And avoid doing the updates...
