Hello,
I am a self-employed person, and I just received an order from a seemingly reliable wholesale website (Italian), which, of course, asks for important information like the Siret number or VAT number online. I will not mention any names for now, I will inform you once I am sure about what I can do.
After opening my package, I noticed many defects: holes, poorly made seams, discolorations, scratches (on handbags), etc.
I also noticed that the labels say "Made in Italy," while inside the garment, there is a tiny label that barely states "made in China."
And of course, no certificate!!! Even with a handbag from major Italian brands!
I asked them if I was entitled to a certificate, and they told me that I do not receive it with the order, but I can request it at an email address. They keep repeating that all products are authentic, but with such defects, I seriously doubt it!
What should I do? What are my rights? Should I go to the gendarmerie, and if so, am I at risk of having my goods seized without any reimbursement?
I plan to contact the brands in question, but before that, I need help..
Thank you for your responses, I am eagerly waiting for them..
Have a nice day,
Yann
