Check if my PC has been used in my absence

Hello,

I am new to computers, which is why I am seeking your help.

When I got home from work, I turned on my computer and VLC opened directly with an ISO file playing.

Being certain I did not use VLC the night before, I wonder if this could be due to a bug or if someone used my PC while I was away.

I would like to know if it is possible to simply check if my PC was turned on between midnight and 5 PM today.

Thank you in advance!

p.s.: nothing in the internet history

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 17.0

    Hello.

    Press the Windows and R keys, type eventvwr.msc

    Expand Windows Logs -> System, look for messages with ID No.

    6005 and 6006.
