Hello,
I have a Pentium Dual-Core E5400 @ 2.70GHz processor, and I would like to replace it with a more powerful one.
I would like to know if it is possible to change it for an i5. If not, what "decent" processor could I replace it with?
Thank you for your response and for the time you will spend answering.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 23.0.1271.95

    Hello

You have to change your motherboard because your LGA 775 socket no longer exists, or you can find it on second-hand sites, but good luck with that.

    Advice: change your motherboard.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to respond.
Also, knowing that I can't change my motherboard, what decent processor could I take instead?
    Thank you

Okay, but how do you know (and are you sure) that this processor is compatible with my motherboard?

because your socket is 775 and the Q9650 is on a 775 base, but I'm worried about the power supply; what wattage does your power supply have since you're going from 65W to 95W?
