Factory settings for Emachine E620 PC... how to do it?

Hello,

Could a kind soul help me please?
I have an eMachine E620 PC
I would like to restore it to factory settings, but I'm having trouble.
It's true that I don't know much about it, but still... lol
I've already tried... I had the Windows XP CD but apparently, that's not going to work.
In the end, I will keep the Home Edition of Vista that's already on the PC, but I would like to do some cleaning since my hard drive is full and I've removed all my files.
Is it possible to restore it like when I bought it?

Thank you for your help

Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 9.0

Hello,

Thank you for your quick response, but when I do that, I end up on a boot menu screen.
Sorry, but I don't know much about this.

Go to Start, see if you have an EMachines folder, open it and you should also have E Machines Recovery Management, right click on it, run as administrator.
This should be done on the sector and nothing else connected.

I had already looked because I had already read on a forum that this file should exist, but I can't find it, not even by searching for the file.

Go to Start, right-click on Computer, Manage, Storage, Disk Management, open the window in full size and take a screenshot.
Post it here: https://www.cjoint.com/ and copy/paste the generated link in the next message below.

I followed what you told me, but I don't have the accessory tool in the folder. I took the initiative to download a program, and here is the capture: https://www.cjoint.com/?BKztd1TjRea

RE
Yes, you need to have a Basic version and the capture tool is not included.
There is indeed a Recovery partition.
Go into the BIOS, F2 I believe, it's written at the bottom of the page with the EMachines logo, SetUp= ?
In MAIN, you should have a line D2D Recovery, it needs to be marked ENABLED, if it's DISABLED, change it and save by exiting.
To navigate and select, use the arrow keys on the keyboard, Enter to view submenus, Esc to go back, F10 to save and exit.
If you see a line for F12, also set it to ENABLED.
Do not change anything else.
Then, try ALT F10 again, you need to do it immediately upon startup.

Re
The d2d recovery line is enabled and I don't have an f12 line
I restarted with alt and f10 but nothing happens, I return to the boot menu.

Let's do it differently, do you have a CD/DVD drive on this PC and a new CD?
Or a blank USB? 1GB is enough.

Re
I have a reader and a USB key, it might be easier with the key because I don't think I have a burning software.

RE
Let's go for the USB.
*Start by formatting it to FAT32 (In Computer, right-click on it, Format)
*Download this ISO of Toutoulinux: ftp://download.tuxfamily.org/toutou/ToutouLinux-431.iso
*Download Unetbootin: https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/22681-unetbootin/
*Launch it, check Disk Image, click on the dots to find your ISO.
*Check your USB letter, and click OK.
*Make sure to let the operation finish, no need to restart, just close the application.
*Plug your USB stick into the faulty PC, restart, and press F12 to access the Boot menu and select your USB.
*Let it search for drivers, choose Xorg, and for the screen resolution, the line H.
Post back once you're on the Toutoulinux desktop, and I'll tell you the next steps. Unless you don't have a second PC, let me know if that's the case.
No worries, it just runs in RAM, it doesn't install on the HDD.

Hello,
At startup, hold down ALT and repeatedly tap F10 without interruption, EMachines Recovery Management should launch, and you will be able to choose to restore to factory settings.

Sorry, but I'm really useless; I found the screen you want, but I can't find the print screen key on my eMachine E620. I don't have the "Imp" or "Screen" keys.
I'm looking...lol

Go to Start, all programs, accessories, Snipping Tool, right-click on it, Pin to taskbar.
When you are in Disk Management, click on the screenshot icon, in the small window, drop-down menu, choose Full Screen, your photo will open, click on File, Save As, put it on your desktop, a name and Save.
In CJoint, click on browse to find your photo, select it, click on Open, then click on create link, a blue link will appear, right-click on it, Copy, and then paste it in a message below.
