Hello,
I have two external speakers connected to my computer. Each speaker is labeled with an "L" for one and an "R" for the other.
What does this mean?
Thank you

Thank you both.
The response that satisfies me is that of the transat. "L" for left if I understand correctly, and of course "R" for right.
If it’s not too technical, can you tell me why it is important that a left speaker is on the left and vice versa?
Thank you

It is important only in the case of a stereo sound; it simply respects the mix as it was created, with such an instrument on the left, in the center, on the right. In my opinion, the inversion can be really disturbing for a video, a film, when there are left/right effects related to what is seen on the screen.
