Réinitialiser epson dx4450

Hello,
my EPSON DX4450 printer has the ON button lit up green and the page and ink indicator lit up red, and it is impossible to use the printer or the scanner.
I had been warned by regular messages like "item at end of life."
It probably needs a reset (since the printer was printing fine!).
How do I do that??

While searching the web, I found my working solution:
You need to buy the software written by www.2manuals.com
The page is: https://www.2manuals.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=10&products_id=990
I installed it and by following the procedure provided in the READ ME FIRST of the software, the printer was reset and is working again
The cost as of 10/31/2012 is $19.99
