Bonjour,
I have an MP4 file with audio that is 0.500 seconds behind the video. When I play it with VLC, I have to go through a whole process by going to Tools > Track Synchronization > ... But I would like to permanently fix this issue IF POSSIBLE without converting my file. I have already been told about Virtual Dub, but it does not support MP4. Could someone please help me? Thank you very much.
Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 22.0.1229.94

Hello,
I think you will still need to re-encode your file.
Try using XMedia Recode or Avidemux version 2.6 (the latest) or 2.58 the one before that or other software that offers this possibility.
MediaInfo could also provide you with information regarding the delay.
Otherwise, there are other solutions like using a editing software to shift the audio track of your file which you may need to extract beforehand. This is just a suggestion.
Best regards

Hello
if you have determined your desync value (either 0.5 seconds, so 500 m/S), first pass it through mkv merge (reporting the value 500), then mux it, and you will get an mkv with the modification
without encoding and quickly. Then go to xmedia recode in video copy mode to change the container and return to mp4. That's one of the methods
another one consists of using the MeGui muxer, but you need to install it and know how to use it.
since MeGui uses My MP4 Box Gui, it is also possible to do it with that.
