Layout issue after PDF conversion

Hello everyone,

I converted a PDF to Word but now the converter respects the original document’s layout and graphics... etc.
As a result, the Word file is in LANDSCAPE format and has a font that is too large!!
When I try to format my Word document, the margins are unchangeable (text off the page), and I have to reorganize everything, which takes a long time..
What should I do?
Do you know of any solution or software that converts PDF files to Word in portrait format and condensed.. (yes, I know I'm asking a lot)

Thank you for your help!!

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 7.0.1

In general, with Word, for the PDF to match the document, the page format of the PDF must be exactly the same as that of the Word document...

Check that you don’t have this issue and that when you print, the fit to page option is not checked.

Thank you very much for the reply. I'm not sure I understood everything though.
My PDF file is in landscape format. When converting to Word, it retains the same layout and font size, but I want to change the document to portrait format and condense it. This is where the problem arises.
The text is "off the page" and everything is distorted.
How can I convert this PDF document without keeping the landscape layout in Word? Or how can I remove the automatic layout of the source document in Word without losing the highlighting?

Thank you for your help.
Sometimes, technology overwhelms me :-)
