On a local network, it usually happens automatically as long as no firewall is activated (otherwise it’s a hassle because they never block the same way). For Warcraft, normally (I don’t have it on hand) you just need to go to multiplayer, create the game, and the others can join once the game is created.

Anyway, to check the local exchange between different PCs connected via a local network, click on Start (on your desktop), click on Run, then type "cmd", click OK, and there you are in DOS. Type "ping" followed by the IP address of the computer you want to check your connection with, for example: "ping 192.168.1.77". This sends a request, and the other computer will automatically respond if it is connected to the network; otherwise, you will see "Request timed out". Still, test the game because I've seen this issue on a local network of three. However, it still worked with one of the computers that seemed to be a Sunfire, since we all managed to play SQUALL.
