Hello,
in Excel 2003, when I put (e) to mark the feminine form of a past participle, it changes to €.

For example,

Créé(e) becomes Créé€

How can I prevent this?

Hello,

go to 'tools / options... / spelling / autocorrect options...'
Uncheck ' autocorrect while typing' or delete the line (e) €

But what toolbox?

I can't find any "tools" tab in the top panel of an Excel sheet!

Thank you for your response

Very personal opinion, and it only engages its author!

Your cell is certainly in "currency" format.

Hello everyone,

A brief explanation for the transformation of (e) into €: in the early days of the euro, many keyboards did not have the "€" character. Users would therefore enter "(e)" instead, which Excel or Word would then convert into "€".

Hi, the cells are in standard format. When I choose "text", some cells show #### characters.
