Hello,
since this morning, Mozilla Thunderbird won't start. It tells me:

"Thunderbird is already running but not responding. To open a new window, you must first stop the existing Thunderbird process or restart your system."

But I've checked the processes, and there's no trace of Thunderbird.
I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and restarting, but nothing works; I still get the same error message.

Thank you for your help.

Configuration: - Intel i7-2600 3.40 GHz
- 8GB of RAM
- Nvidia GeForce GTX560
- Windows 7 64-bit Home Edition

    hello
    - show hidden files
    - go to C:\Users\[name]\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\[profile name]
    - delete the parent.lock file
