I was also contacted by this company regarding the non-payment of an order from Cdiscount. I called them to say that I had never placed an order with this company, and after checking, they realized that I had indeed not placed any order and that my phone number was linked to another identity. The whole thing went smoothly without any aggression, and they assured me that no further action would be taken concerning me.

Contact the firm if it is a case of identity theft, they will tell you how to proceed.

The Bordeaux court of appeal confirmed on Monday, May 12, a fine of €600,000 imposed on Cdiscount for a lack of information regarding an old subscription.
The judiciary has ruled. On Monday, May 12, 2025, the administrative court of appeal in Bordeaux confirmed the €600,000 fine imposed on the company Cdiscount. The online shopping site had been penalized for not sufficiently informing its customers when subscribing to an old subscription plan.
It all started from an investigation conducted by the Departmental Directorate for the Protection of Populations (DDPP) of Gironde. After several consumer reports, the administration imposed an initial fine of €986,432 on Cdiscount in October 2020.
A lack of transparency
The site offered a paid subscription (€29 per year) with six days of free trial, but did not clearly inform customers that they would be charged if the subscription was not canceled on time.
