Which one to trust: CPU-Z or Aida64?

Hello,

I'm going to receive soon 4x2Go DDR3 to install in my computer.
However, when I check under Aida64, it tells me I have an AMD2+ Socket and on CPU-Z an AMD3.

I have a Phenom II x4 810; if you want photos of Aida64/CPU-Z, I can post them.

    Hello
    both are "right"
    your processor is the first processor released by AMD to manage DDR3
    compatible with an AMD2+ or AM3 motherboard.
    So some motherboard manufacturers modified their BIOS to make your processor, designed for AM3, compatible with AM2+.
    So you should rather trust your motherboard.
    This often leads to misunderstandings, including between motherboard manufacturers and AMD.

    Yes, provided that your motherboard supports it. If you are using DDR2, you will need to change your motherboard to DDR3. If you're not sure, go to SPD in CPU-Z.

      I know I currently have DDR2, the question is whether I can still put in DDR3 because of the issues with the two programs.

      EDIT 2: Yeah, right now I'm in dual channel with DDR2 (2x2 GB DDR2 400MHz (real crap) and I'll soon know if it's 4x2 GB DDR3 identical.

    You can just change your motherboard and keep your processor.
