Audio track on vlc

On your AVI file (which you encoded with WinX ....) do you have both audio tracks?

No, I just have one audio track (English), it's the default one in VLC, and that's the audio track I want to remove. After converting the VOB to AVI, only one track remains, which is English, even though I've set the default language (I've made it French) in VLC.

I will tell you everything now:
I have a few DVDs that I want to put on my hard drive (I know very well that there are software programs where I can convert a DVD to AVI BUT the problem is that it takes a lot of time, which is not possible for me) so in the VIDEO_TS there are parts of the DVD which are .vob and they open with VLC and there are 2 audio tracks: English and French.
I've been looking for a fast converter for a while, I've used a lot of software and I found that "WinX Free VOB To AVI Converter" is the fastest (a 25min video part converts in 25min :D which gives me the opportunity to redo the work for each part :D
Knowing well that the DVD contains 2 audio tracks
I've converted a few parts, it only gave me one track (English) (that's not a problem, I can manage to understand)
BUT there are other parts that I am about to convert and I am looking for a method to have the French language at the end of the conversion (that's why I suggested the idea of deleting an audio track in the videos found in VIDEO_TS, and the track I aim to delete is the default "English" one)

Don't forget that you will "need to merge" all your AVIs to obtain just one file.
You will need to encode all the VOBs in the same way (resolution, bitrate, frame rate
and the same for the audio).
The ideal remains to encode in one go.

Yes, I used Format Factory, DVD Free Studio, Neodivx, Avidemux, Ultra Video Converter, MediaCoder, but I find "Winx ...." the one that satisfies me :D
I know very well that I have to reassemble after with the same characteristics (by the way, I convert while maintaining the same characteristics)
Well, if there is a free software that can transform my DVD into an AVI file: a 1h45 movie in less than 2h would be perfect :D
(my PC gets a bit crazy when it’s on for a little over 2h30, it shuts down :( due to ventilation :( ) but if such software exists, everything will be easily settled, but in less than 2h :) thank you :D
And for the test you are going to do, just take a track of 30 min max (that's what I do)

Let's say I took a VOB, I tested your software, and Zig was right, it only takes the first audio track. If it's in English, that's too bad since you can't select others. Well, I'm pleased to see that you've used some software.

If you want to keep WinX, you can try a trick. Do you know DVD Shrink? With it, you can transform your DVD into another DVD but delete the audio tracks you don't want to keep. You'll only have the French one left by default. And you can use it with WinX. There's also XMedia Recode, which opens your
DVD (if it's not protected) and you can select what you want. I also have Format Factory and Avidemux; I'll take a look.

The DVD doesn't belong to me, it's a friend's :( (by the way, I'm not just taking one DVD but several, so it will be a bit expensive to burn them all)
My questions:
- Do you know of any software that can convert my DVD to AVI in less than 2 hours?
