Hello,
my problem is in the title. I have already checked the volume mixer, and the sound is neither muted nor at minimum. Google Chrome does not appear at all in the mixer, nor does Firefox. Only IE appears there when I launch it.
It's probably nothing, just an option to check somewhere or something, but I can't find it as I don't know much about computers... I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome, and it doesn't change anything.
The only answers I found online refer to the volume mixer or suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the browser, but that doesn't work for me.
Thank you in advance, Diabs.
Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 537.1

Hello,
go to the top right corner click on the wrench icon > Settings > Search > Manage search engines and check if they are listed. If so, leave them and delete everything except Google (by default) since that's the one you want and hit OK at the bottom of the page
Then check in the box next to Manage search engines that only Google, Firefox, and IE are there
Exit

Mark as resolved when a problem is solved is nice to know. -
I did what you said, I removed all search engines except Google (by default).
In the box next to it, there is only Google, I uninstalled Firefox yesterday, and IE is not listed.
But it hasn't changed anything ^^ -
Everything is done, but nothing has changed.
MalwareBytes Anti-Malware found a few errors that I fixed, but I selected the quick scan (or something like that).
Should I start again with the regular scan, or is it not worth it?-

When I right-click > Open Volume Mixer, I have Device and Applications even though YouTube is open.
Keep an eye on the response of another person who has just asked more or less the same question as you; you might get an answer! https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-25754863-pas-de-son-sur-google-chrome

Great, thank you very much, I followed what they said, and my sound is back.
I don't know how to note that my problem is solved, usually I find the answer to my problems in already opened topics so...
But in any case, thank you very much to both of you. -
As this does not work like this
try a little "cleaning" of your PC like this:
download CCleaner and use it with Cleaner and Registry:
https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/5647-ccleaner/
then download Malwarebytes and update it, it is free.
Run it in its free version and delete everything it may find.

Restart the PC.
