Hello, I would like to revisit a TV movie that moved my adolescence in Africa. It was a French film. The main character was Henri, a young boy around ten years old at a summer camp. He struggled to fit in with the group and was the subject of ridicule from his campmates. Orphaned, withdrawn, and shy, he only found solace in Marlene, a lovely girl his age to whom he revealed everything. Well, almost everything, because one day, under the pressure of the group, when they asked him to reveal the identities of his parents, he pretended they were Henri Poulidor, who was live on TV and about to win the Tour de France. Young Henri gained notoriety and enjoyed explaining to his naive young peers how his famous father was set to win the Tour. But the lie lasted only a short time; when a couple of magicians came to liven up an evening, they revealed during a trick that the young Henri's parents were no longer alive. Henri was violently rejected from the group again, even by Marlene. Later, everything fell into place when Henri became a magician himself. A very beautiful and highly moving story that could make you cry with sadness. I want to see this film again that shaped my personality.
