It is a Copy/Paste from a Word document, which explains some small quirks in the presentation. Universal Remote Controls N.S.E. URC 22 Code Introduction 1. Turn on the device you want to control. 2. Press and hold the SET button, then press the button for the type of device you want to control (TV1, TV2, VCR1, ... AUX) simultaneously. 3. The LED will light up, release the buttons. 4. Enter the 3-digit code for the device. 5. If the entered device code is correct, the LED will turn off automatically. If the code is incorrect, the LED will blink twice and remain in Setup mode (on), return to step 4 with another code and repeat until the LED turns off. 6. Check that the remote buttons operate correctly on the device. If not, repeat steps 2 to 6 with another code. ____________________ Quick Search 1. Turn on the device you want to control. If it’s a VCR, a tape must be inserted. 2. Press and hold the SET button, then simultaneously press the button for the type of device you want to control (TV1, TV2, VCR1, ... AUX). 3. The LED will light up, release the buttons. 4. Press the SET button again. The URC 22 will enter Quick Search mode and the LED will remain on. 5. Point the URC 22 at the device and press the POWER button. For VCR/AUX, you can press either POWER or PLAY. Observe if the device responds (turns off or plays). If the device responds, proceed to step 6. Otherwise, repeat step 5. 6. Check that other buttons such as CH +/-, VOL +/- work correctly (i.e. that the device is properly controlled). If not, return to step 5. 7. Some devices are slow to respond to the POWER signal. You can press the SET button to go back. With each press of this button, you reverse the search direction: forward or backward. 8. To exit Search mode, press the button corresponding to the device and the LED will turn off. Note: In Search mode, in addition to the SET button (SET and POWER buttons for VCR/AUX), the operation of other buttons can be tested, which means you can check them without exiting Search mode. The URC 22 will exit Search mode if no button is pressed for 30 seconds. _____________ Auto Search 1. Turn on the device you want to control. If it’s a VCR, a tape must be inserted. 2. Press and hold the SET button, then simultaneously press the POWER button for more than 3 seconds and Auto Search will begin. 3. Press any button to finish. No further explanations, particularly regarding the duration of the search which may likely take several tens of minutes. ___________ Display the Code The device code is a 3-digit number. 1. Press and hold the SET button and simultaneously press the button corresponding to the digit you want to know: 1 for hundreds, 2 for tens, 3 for units. 2. Release the SET button. 3. The LED will blink. Count the number of blinks of the LED. This number corresponds to the desired digit. If there are no blinks, the digit is 0.

Hello, regarding my remote control issue, my television screen is now black with dotted lines instead of blue. When I tune to a channel like 32, I see a show, but it's all pixelated, and there's only a little bit of sound. As for encrypted channels like 1 and 2, I can't access them at all. I have a Worldsat decoder, model: Maestro NG4. The brand does not appear on the remote control list in the manual, and the "auto search" in the manual does not yield satisfactory results: with the automatic search, I get the menu display or the games screen display. A few buttons work but do not correspond at all to the remote control keypad. For example, one channel number corresponds to another.
Does anyone know the Worldsat codes?

I also noticed that with the same remote control, I wanted to set my Sony HI-FI channel, a brand that is listed. By entering the indicated codes, at best I get the power on/off function and the volume adjustment. In fast search mode, it's much simpler: no code is found.
