Hi, I have a PC with a graphics card and 4 GB of RAM that are sufficient for me
but with a Core 2 Duo 2.0, which has too limited power and is incompatible with the graphics card, and it also overheats too much
so I thought about upgrading to an i5 or something else... I don't know yet
will I have a problem with the motherboard? Or with the GPU? Or another part? Thanks.

Hi
No i5 is compatible with any motherboard supporting Core 2 Duo or Quad, it's not the same socket.
So you'll need to change the motherboard.

Uhm, I need more details about your current configuration.
- Your RAM -> DDR2 or DDR3?
If you get an i5, you'll be on socket 1155. And motherboards with socket 1155 use DDR3. -

1/ It's not a Core 2 Duo... It's a Pentium.
2/ It's a laptop.
So there you go
4.4 GHz on Phenom II, 4.6 GHz on 2600K (1.36 V, not great... :) ), 4.8 GHz on FX-8150! -
yes yes it's a core 2 duo ^^
and yes, it's a laptop :)
here's a dxdiag screenshot

It's not a Core 2, it's a Pentium Dual Core P6100, which is also not a Sandy Bridge; it's the first generation of Intel Core. =>https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/50175/intel-pentium-processor-p6100-3m-cache-2-00-ghz.html
And your DxDiag is the graphics card ^^ -
