Hello
I got a Packard Bell PC from a friend and after formatting, I lost all my drivers.
I found the sound and video card drivers etc...
but I recently wanted to put my camera memory card in this reader and nothing...
I went on the Packard Bell website (http://support.packardbell.com/fr/item/index.php?i=spec_fmc6in1black_avc&pi=platform_danube_imedia) where my memory card reader is listed, but I don't know how to proceed :(
Is there a driver to install or do I need to check something in the BIOS like they say on the site: "Make sure the floppy disk type is correctly configured in the BIOS (usually 1.44 MB 3.5") and that the floppy disk controller (sometimes called FDC) is set to Enabled."
I'm not very good with computers, so if anyone can help me that would be great
thank you in advance and good luck to everyone
best regards

Hello,
I had the same problem as you, so first:
- go to Control Panel
- "Performance and Maintenance"
- "System"
- "Hardware"
- "Device Manager"
Once you've done all that, check if you have a yellow question mark, especially if you are missing the RICOH BAY1 CONTROLLER driver. If you don't have it, you can download it at this address https://driverscollection.com/?file_id=32764 After downloading it, install it and you will see that your problems will be solved ^^.
In any case, it worked for me.
I hope I’ve helped you.
Bye bye

To make it reappear, go to "Control Panel," then "Performance and Maintenance," then "System," and then "Hardware."
Go to "Device Manager,"
check if there is a question mark corresponding to your USB drive. If not, go to "USB Bus Controllers"
if you see "Unknown USB Device," click on it and uninstall it.
Close Windows, insert a card into the reader, restart Windows, and it should normally display "new device." In the "Hardware Update Wizard," click no for this time, on the next screen click "Install from a list or specific location."
On the next page, click "Include this location in the search," and in the box below type
C:\windows\inf
There, the search will be carried out automatically and install it for you.
This procedure works for all USB devices; sometimes you need to do it several times for C:\windows\inf because it doesn’t always install all necessary drivers the first time.

Hello,
Hello, I have reformatted my computer and I can no longer read the cards from my camera, however the USB ports work. I can't find out how to restore the card readers. If someone could help me, that would be great. Thank you in advance.

Hello
I had the same problem as you with unrecognized USB drives.
I found the solution by going to this site
https://www.thesiteoueb.net/faq-astuces/fiche-pratique-442-ma-cle-usb-n-est-pas-reconnue-par-windows.html
Apparently, it's due to a bug in the XP pack 2.
But I still have the same problem as you with memory cards: not detected!
And I still haven't found a solution!

I have an HP Pavilion ZV6279EA Notebook PC,
I have a little problem, when I formatted my laptop, I noticed that my memory card reader no longer lights up, meaning I put an SD card in it but it doesn't recognize it!
I went to the HP website, but I couldn't figure out why. So how can I make it work again? Thank you in advance.

Hello, I just had the same problem today with my HP Pavilion dv5000.
In fact, I had reinstalled the system from the HP recovery disks and everything was working except my card reader (I only tested with XD cards).
I solved the problem:
I downloaded the driver from the HP website that corresponded to the product:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-41736-1&lc=en&cc=fr&lang=fr&os=228&product=499849&dlc=fr&sw_lang=17
And I installed it, but then my product still didn't work; the card did not show up in 'My Computer'.
I went to the Control Panel and tried using "Add New Hardware" to see if it detected any new hardware. It didn't work the first time, but after several attempts (after removing and reinserting the XD card), it detected a mass storage controller. At that point, it asked if I wanted to install it from a specified location, and I chose the folder path where my driver had been installed:
C:\SWSETUP\SP30714\Base\Windows\tiinst
Then it indicated that it had successfully installed the Texas Instrument device, and my card was detected, and it worked.
I hope this can help you

GOOD EVENING everyone
I have the same problem, my computer (Fujitsu Siemens AMD Sempron) no longer recognizes my memory card. The issue arose after uninstalling Windows; after reinstalling, I lost everything (sound, USB, SD card...). A friend helped me restore sound and USB functions through the internet. This issue remains and I don't know what to do. I went to the Fujitsu website, but unfortunately, I don’t know what to do!!!
Can someone help me please???
Thank you

I no longer had access to my 19-in-1 memory card reader (SD, flash memory, etc.), it no longer appeared anywhere. Dell support had me download the R151573.exe chipset, but I had to restart my PC twice for it to be recognized (maybe it's better to
shut it down normally and then restart it rather than just clicking "restart" right away...) Well, if this can help, I can send the
chipset... good luck to everyone in this ruthless world...

Hello, I have a Dell Vostro, and I have the same problem, my 19-in-1 card reader is not showing up anywhere, and I would like to try your Ulysse29 chipset, if you could send it to me, I assume I just have to execute it, and it will do the rest by itself.
Otherwise, if someone can help me, in my device manager, I have an unknown USB device, I'm not sure if it's related.
Thanks in advance.

Moi aussi, j'ai le même problème que vous, mon PC ne lit pas ma carte mémoire. C'est bizarre comme ça.
Hello everyone,
I just had the same problem as you, namely that my memory card reader wouldn't turn on anymore.
By simply unplugging the connector from the motherboard, everything went back to normal.
I think it’s enough to unplug the power cord - while the computer is off - for the residual voltages to disappear.
Give it a try, it doesn't cost anything!

Hello,
I can't find any forum discussing the fact that an SD card stops being recognized all of a sudden. I have a Galaxy Note 2 and this is the third SD card I've bought. At one point in my settings, it no longer recognizes it, saying "insert SD card." I try all the adapters I have, and it says "the reader is empty." So, what's going on? Is it a virus or my phone???
Thanks in advance for your responses.

Could you tell me where your drivers are?
I will also need them to detect photo memory cards on my computer (XP-SP2). Thank you.
I just want to know if you still have the memory card driver for Packard Bell because I need it urgently
Thank you for getting back to me as soon as possible
