[flat screen] yellow screen issue Solved/Closed

Question

Hello, I recently acquired (two months ago) a relatively recent computer with a 19-inch screen (I want to emphasize that all my equipment is HP ^^), and it's this screen that is causing me problems today. Indeed, two days ago, I turned it on at the same time as the computer, and the image showed up, still sharp but... yellowed! I then tried to change (in the screen menu) the contrast, the brightness, and finally the customized colors and predefined color modes, but the image remains yellow! Help, please!!!!

Hello, generally this problem is due to the power cord of the screen, there are sometimes loose connections, try moving it hoping to have addressed your issue.

It may not be your screen, it could be your graphics card, so to find out, test it on another PC and see if it turns yellow!!!

We had this problem with a projector, and it was caused by the connection cable that had worn out. So, we just had to replace it.

I had the same problem with my new ACER 5102 WLMI laptop, sent to customer service six weeks ago, I'm still waiting for its return. The graphics card is on order from Asian countries. I went back to see my seller NUMERIKA in Bollène, it's not their problem, they are just a reseller. It's a scandal... No replacement equipment.... we have to wait.....

Me too, right now my screen has turned yellow,
it's really hurting my eyes... I'm going to see if it's the cable...
Because at €200 for a flat screen... and that's the cheapest, it hurts, you know!

A yellow or sky blue color on the screen is most often a sign that the VGA cable needs to be replaced.  Test with another VGA cable, it doesn't cost much.  Dimitri Baikrich

I have a little problem. I tried to connect my laptop to my 20-inch monitor via the VGA port, and it also gives me a yellow screen... I tried with two cables, almost new, but it didn't change anything. My laptop isn't brand new (HP Pavilion dv4000), but I'm still wondering what's wrong?! If someone has an idea...

Hello, I had the same problem with my Compaq FP 7317 screen!
So.. whether the screen turns blue, yellow, green, red, or purple... it was due to the cord connecting the monitor to my tower!
Big problem with Compaq, no way to change it, so I had to change the screen :s

I had the same problem today; it was just the male connector of the screen that was bent, causing bad contact.

my yellow screen issue was resolved under warranty, with a graphics card replacement. It has now been nearly 2 years, and I have had no problems. I would just like to point out that the repair time at ACER was over 2 months!!!! after numerous follow-ups....

Hello everyone,
the same sudden yellow screen problem just happened to me on my laptop
(I could see the colors, but the background color was yellow instead of white)
I just called technical support, my issue has just been resolved in my case.
In fact, it was an electricity problem or something else with the LCD screen.
Here’s what I had to do:
- turn off the computer
- remove the battery and power cable
- press and hold the power button of the computer for 2 minutes continuously (to completely drain the electricity from all its components)
- plug in the power cable without the battery
- turn on the computer
My issue is resolved
hoping this helps those who have the same symptoms caused by the same reasons!

I have a brand new LG screen and I was having a problem with yellow color appearing from time to time. So I separated the VGA cable that was wrapped up with the others (power, speakers, keyboard, mouse, etc.)
and I think the power cable was causing interference with the VGA, which is very thin in diameter. Otherwise, I have to go back to the old VGA cables, which at least had a larger diameter and anti-interference at each end.
