Reinstall MATSHITA BD-MLT driver Solved

Question

Hello,

I just uninstalled my CD/DVD drive from my computer (it had some issues)

I don't know how to reinstall it.

It is a MATSHITA BD-MLT UJ-220S

Can someone help me? Where can I find the driver? Thank you!

Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 12.0

Hello,

I uninstalled it in Device Manager CD/DVD drive -> uninstall.

My initial problem:

So I wanted to uninstall and then reinstall the drive.

It's a Vaio FZ31S.

After restarting your PC, did the CD drive reappear in the device manager?

--> Download the following file to your Desktop:
http://docxp.mvps.org/b1n/DisparitionCD.inf

--> Right-click on it and choose Install.

--> Restart.

I'm not in front of my computer right now, I'll do it as soon as I get home.

(I had already tried the method from this folder to install, and it hadn't worked.

I restarted my computer, a window appears "installing the driver for the CD-DVD Matshita drive..."

I go to My Computer, the drive is indeed present.

I leave my computer for an hour, I come back, the icon has disappeared!!

So I tried the "DisappearanceCD" technique.

Now, my computer rebooted and the icon still isn't there...

Any ideas?

Does it disappear only when you don't plug in the charger and only use the battery?

Go to start
All programs
Accessories
Right-click on --> cmd
Choose: run as administrator and confirm
Type: sfc /scannow and press enter.

A system file check will be performed.

Well, it's been 2 days since the reader reappeared, I think it's good...  Weird, I really don't know how that happened...
