Downloading a sound card? I've never seen that! I think what you need is THE driver that will allow you to install the sound card integrated into your motherboard.

Motherboard FUJITSU SIEMENS GA-8S649MF. This reference is for a Gigabyte motherboard, probably the one installed on your Fujitsu brand PC.

If you were more experienced, you could find and download this driver from this page http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/download/Produktwahl.asp?SearchFor=&LNG=EN# But since that’s highly unlikely, click on the link Where to find the identification number? in the right column.
And communicate that number here.

- In the device manager, I have an EXCLAMATION point (!!!) in system devices => PCI DEVICES bus 0 slot 27: my sound card it seems
I have no sound and the message is something like "wrong direct sound drivers" with Winamp
I have installed the audio drivers but after restarting I go back to the same state, so I don't know what to do.

For my HP, I had to force the installation of Conexant High Definition Audio found on HP, afterwards, I don't know what computer you have.

I have a friend who has the HP PAVILION dv9313ea laptop and he was missing sound drivers.

To find drivers that are not recognized after a standard installation of Windows XP, I recommend (even to the least experienced users) to perform the following steps, which may help you in many cases.

- Go to Device Manager (Start/Control Panel...)
- Then right-click on the missing device (which should normally be displayed with a yellow panel and an exclamation mark)
- Properties
- Details

And there you should have some jargon, but two pieces of information may help (so note them down), these are the VEN_XXXX&DEV_XXXX information

(for example: VEN_8086&DEV_27d8 will indicate the vendor (brand) INTEL)

Make sure to note the XXXX for VEN and DEV.

VEN is the brand
DEV is the "device" or the said peripheral

Next, go to the website www.pcidatabase.com

This site allows you to find, using the collected information, important details about the device for which you are looking for drivers.

In our case, it is:

VEN_8086&DEV_27d8

0x27d8xzx = Microsoft UAA Bus HD Audio - 0x8086 = Intel

So, I searched for my friend to download the Microsoft UAA Bus HD Audio driver as mentioned in a previous post on the forum.
