No: It is complicated to deliberately insert a non-breaking space; it is Word that placed spaces during automatic correction, or from importing a document in TXT format, or from automatic translation, whereas the normal spaces were typed by the writer.
Sometimes, as in the first red circle, it seemed to this person that the letters i and t were stuck together; they therefore added a space (unnecessary). The same goes for the fourth circle.
There are even places where two consecutive spaces were typed, as in the second paragraph "uyumlu..olmayabilir"!
Don't forget that this person had not activated the ¶ command to check the quality of their input by viewing the formatting symbols...

These documents were originally in French, and I don't really know where they're going to be translated. I receive the translated texts (in between 6 and 8 different languages) with a vague layout corresponding to the original document.

Since these are quite specialized technical documents, I doubted that it was machine translation, but as you pointed out, it is quite possible that it goes through automatic translation first, and then the corrector changes parts in order to perfect the translation. That makes more sense!
