Hello.
I've been a subscriber to Télé 2 for nearly three years (connected via Bewan ADSL USB modem, never had a problem), and they just offered me a chance to be a beta-tester for partial unbundling and sent me a Thomson-Alcatel SpeedTouch 706 WL router (not a 716!); in exchange, a €10 reduction on the monthly bill.
Network connection, okay, installation, okay. However, it is not functioning.
The technician who called me to check on my situation mentioned that the modem had to be activated by them (automated computer procedure) and must therefore remain connected for a maximum of 24 hours. Since I absolutely cannot block my line for a full day, I left it on overnight and this morning for a total of 16 hours. Nothing! Still getting the "Tele2 defaults" message, which means the activation hasn't been done.
So, what I forgot to ask him, can I do a general reset without risk? According to the documentation (very brief, I still haven't found the real document online), there is a risk of damaging the modem.
After reading various topics on forums, there's something that often comes up: specific login and password required to enter the advanced configuration of the 716. And indeed, in one of the menus of the 706, after clicking on a link, a pop-up asked me for a login and password, which I obviously don't have! What is the purpose of this exactly?
Thank you.

On eMule, you go to Help, then to Router, then you select your model and everything will be indicated with images.
Hello,
I tried to change the settings of my router but I can't log in with the tele2 codes. Does anyone have another solution??
Thanks in advance and happy holidays!

Well, you have two possibilities: either it's a modem sold (and therefore locked) by Télé2, in which case not all modem functionalities are accessible (notably modifying the login and password). If you are no longer connected via Télé2, then you can change the firmware (check the other responses, it has been well explained, I think).
The other possibility: the modem is not locked to Télé2. And if you've lost the logins and passwords, you only have to reset the modem and you can log back in with the login and password provided in the instruction manual.
Honestly, for the firmware flashing method, it's been a year already!! So I don't remember all the details, but it can be found on the forum.
There you go, I hope this will help.

Hi, I just became Tele2. However, they automatically assigned me a 706.
so far, no issues
the entry code is normally:
user => Tele2
pass => tele2
for the documentation, try this link: https://www.technicolor.com?single=false&context=sig&topic=init
I hope this helps you

To route any program/game with the Speed Touch ST706WL Thomson, you need to access the router using an internet browser (Firefox for example).
You write like this: http://speedtouch.lan/ and you will find a window that asks for the password and username (for the username, you type: tele2 and for the password: tele2 as well ;-) ). After that, you are in the configuration page of your router and you can add programs and games to the list for the machine (PC) you want!!!
NOTE - In the internal list, there are already some pre-configured programs and games; just choose them... normally that's how it is done.
(I apologize for my French (with mistakes), but I am Portuguese, and I don't remember much of it for the moment!!!)

for the ST706WL
log: tele2
password: tele2
Missing compatibility plugin in MSIE7 => contact technical support to disable an option remotely or install another browser ;)

I forgot to mention that you need to download the official and universal firmware from www.speedtouch.nl
It is an executable (as discussed in the flashing method above)

Hello,
I’m posting my question here. Since Monday, I've been having problems with my modem, meaning it disconnects and reconnects 3 to 4 times between 8:00 PM and 10:30 PM. I checked my basic modem panel and saw the firewall is disabled. I pressed the button on the front of the modem to disable the Wi-Fi and reactivated the firewall, but I was told that to resolve the disconnect/reconnect issues with the modem, it might be necessary to update it. I have a Speedtouch Thomson ST706WL with Tele2Allin, and I switched to 12 megabytes this Wednesday. I hope someone can help me fix these disconnections or poor synchronization of the modem because it’s really frustrating. :(
Best regards,
Fred

Hello,
I am also interested in the access codes for the ST706WL.
The two codes given above (L: tele2 P: tele2) only allow access to the standard configuration.
However, if you want to reach advanced setup pages, the router requires other access codes.
In my case, I just subscribed to EDPNet (the new name of SCARLET) and a friend leaving Belgium gave me his ST706WL router. But, this friend was with Télé2 and the modem seems to be tailored for that provider.
So, I can't find the DSL connection configuration page, where you enter the login and password for the internet service provider.
I thought of several solutions:
1. I need those access codes for advanced pages in the router
2. I need an installation CD that would allow access
3. There is a block at the firmware level (access is granted only when you're with Tele2) that needs to be upgraded to remove the "protection"
What was the idea of putting these protections? What could they possibly gain? Yes, Tele2 can sell them cheaper to their subscribers!!
Thanks in advance
Gonzo6230
PS: Noxios: don't worry about your French, we can criticize you the day we can speak Portuguese just as well!

Hello, I have a problem with this router:
I don't know how to connect to it with my phone! I accidentally deleted the rule for my phone (device, ...) and I did delete -_- and now I can't connect to Wi-Fi with my phone! Can anyone help me please? Should I reboot the modem? Because my connection was working fine for 7 months (IP configured correctly), everything was good and now, nothing :'( so if someone knows how to help me, that would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I followed the procedure to the letter, but during the installation, I receive an error message indicating that the connection with the modem is cut off...
I looked for the firmware on speedtouch.nl, but it is 706_Upgrade_R62T2_sip.exe and not the 716_Upgrade_R6172_sip.exe indicated... maybe the error comes from there. When launching, it shows downgrade and not upgrade! I haven’t found anything regarding the 716

Gonzo, I would like to talk to you about the speedtouch from Tele2 (MSN: the_debile_dwarf@hotmail.fr).
Hello everyone.
I've read a bit of everything here but I haven't found the answer to my question which is as follows:
I have a Speedtouch 706WL whose login and password are tele2.
How do I change these two credentials in this modem?
I have been searching for days and have still found nothing.
If someone can answer my question please.

Good evening, thank you for your response. Indeed, I am with Télé2 but I would like to have access to all the features of the modem to, for example, set a password for WiFi access and prevent neighbors from connecting, and change the default password for the modem that everyone knows. What should I ask Télé2 (will they accept?) or should I apply the firmware that I have already downloaded? Thank you in advance!

If you're with Tele2, it's best not to mess with the firmware... because you might have to reset some connection settings, and Tele2 won't agree to provide them to you... well, I think. You can always ask the question at Tele2.
From what I've read, you'll never be able to change those settings.
The best thing to do is to set up an encryption key and MAC address filtering.
With that, it's quite difficult for someone to connect to your modem.
I don't see any other solution.
See you later

Well, I managed to unlock this damn Tele2 modem, now I'm connecting without problems to Belgacom. Tele2 is 100% crap. They promised me that after a promotion, by changing providers, I would be connected in 3 days. 48 days later, I was still not connected! As a result, I went back to Belgacom, I kept their modem because of the inconveniences they caused me. I had to reflash it because it was locked with their codes! On purpose so that you couldn't switch to another provider! They're really bastards, I wouldn't even go to them for anything! To be avoided at all costs!
