Hello,

I would like you to help me find the formula to calculate the charging time of a battery. Thank you for your responses.

Basically, you need to divide your battery capacity (in Amp-hours (Ah)) by the charging current of your charger.

Example:
a 100 Ah battery
a charger or other charging system delivering 10 Ah in charging current

100 Ah / 10 Ah = 10 hours of charging if the battery is completely discharged.

It's not uniform! It's 100Ah / 10A... otherwise, the result is unitless...

No, if we base ourselves on the calculation units: 100 Ah / 10 A
We have no unit left at the end.
Furthermore, a charger provides you with a charging current and not Ah, which represents the capacity of the battery, meaning the amount of amperes per hour!

Therefore, we have 100 Ah (capacity) / 10 A (charging current) = 10 hours of charging.
